Your shop's own app, in the Apple and Google stores

Updated November 6, 2026

Your app lists in the Apple and Google stores under your shop's name, so the 2 developer accounts behind it are yours. You make them, you add us to both, and we build your app and run it for you. The same steps are a checklist in your dashboard, at Marketing → Apps, which saves each box as you tick it.

What does my shop's app do?

Your clients see your flash as it drops, book with a deposit, and keep their own record and aftercare. Their phone buzzes when you drop flash or run a sale.

What do I need before I start?

Decide whose name the app lists under. As an organization, it lists under your business's legal name. As an individual, it lists under your own name.

To sign up as your business, Apple and Google both ask for a D-U-N-S number, a free 9-digit number Dun & Bradstreet gives a business. Look yours up on Apple's D-U-N-S page first. If you don't have one, you can ask for one there. Apple says to allow up to 5 business days for the number, and 2 more before Apple can see it.

Apple also asks for a website for your business, and it doesn't accept a name you do business under (a DBA): it wants the legal entity.

What it costs is Apple's and Google's, paid to them: Apple's developer program is $99 a year, and Google's is $25 once.

How do I set up Apple?

1. An Apple Account for your shop. Use your own, or make one on your shop's email at account.apple.com. Turn on two-factor authentication. Apple asks for it before you can enroll.

2. Join the Apple Developer Program. Start at developer.apple.com/programs/enroll. Enroll as an organization with your D-U-N-S number, your website, and the right to sign for the business. Or enroll as an individual, under your own name. Apple checks who you are before your membership starts.

3. Add us in App Store Connect. Once your membership is active, open App Store Connect, then "Users and Access". Press the "+" button. Type first name Waivers, last name tattoo, and email apps@waivers.tattoo. Pick the "Admin" role. Press "Next", then "Invite". Apple's invitation lasts 3 days, and we accept it when it reaches us.

How do I set up Google?

1. A Google Account for your shop. Use your own, or make one on your shop's email at accounts.google.com/signup.

2. Make a Google Play developer account. Start at play.google.com/console/signup. Pick an organization account with the same D-U-N-S number, or a personal account under your own name. Google checks who you are. A personal account made after November 13, 2023 has to test an app with at least 12 people for 14 days before it can go live, which an organization account skips.

3. Add us in Play Console. Open Play Console, then "Users and permissions". Press "Invite new users". Type apps@waivers.tattoo as the email. Turn on "Make this user an account admin". Press "Invite user".

What happens after I send both invites?

Tick "I sent the invite" for each in Marketing → Apps. When both are ticked, we hear about it, accept the invitations, and build your app. We send you a link to test it before it goes in the stores.

Why do you need to be an admin?

Building and publishing an app takes the account's own keys: signing the app, filling in its store listing, and sending each version to Apple and Google for review. An admin can do all of that for you. The account and the app stay yours, and you can remove us from either one at any time.
